Before the Coffee Gets Cold

If you could go back in time, what would you change?
In a small back alley in Tokyo, there is a coffee shop that has been serving carefully brewed coffee for over 100 years. However, this cafe offers customers a unique experience of traveling back in time.
In “Before the Coffee Gets Cold,” we meet four visitors. Each hopes to use the cafe’s time travel services to confront the man who left them and receive a letter from her husband, whose memories of her have been left behind by early Alzheimer’s disease. To see her sister one last time and meet the daughter she had never met before.
However, the journey into the past is not without risks. Customers must sit in a specific location, are not allowed to leave the cafe, and must eventually return to the present before their coffee gets cold. . .
Toshikazu Kawaguchi’s beautiful and moving story explores the age-old question: “If you could go back in time, what would you change?” And more importantly, who would you like to see perhaps one last time?
