Cambridge ICT Starters | Initial Steps

For students ages 7 to 14, this series offers a new approach to ICT that is aligned with the Cambridge ICT Starters syllabus for examinations starting in 2019. Students deepen their comprehension of papers and visuals in Next Steps. The resource covers new topics, like working with multimedia, databases, and spreadsheets. To organise a field trip, students will write essays and utilise spreadsheets. To assist students in learning new abilities, each exercise is described in detail and includes step-by-step instructions. Students’ learning is reinforced by key terms and visual aids. • At the beginning of each module, there are explicit learning objectives that outline particular abilities from the curriculum and indicate whether they are worth a Pass or Merit grade.
• In order to make sure students are ready to handle the module, a “Before you start” section ties back to prior information.
• Students are encouraged to stay safe online by a significant emphasis on e-safety throughout the course.
• A consistent, step-by-step approach is provided via enjoyable activities like programming, exploring multimedia, and producing graphics.
